IMPORTANT: In Nov 2023 BMW of North America mailed owners a component-specific limited warranty extension for the crankcase pressure control valve (PCV) to 15 years / 150,000 miles from the in-service date, including reimbursement of qualifying earlier customer-pay repairs (letter posted on Bimmerpost, linked below). Ask a BMW dealer to check your VIN before paying for this repair.
