Which cars are affected
2006–2010 E60 M5 and E63/E64 M6 with the S85 V10. Most owners treat it as preventive maintenance.
Many shops replace the high-pressure VANOS oil line, engine mounts and oil squirters at the same time. Quotes differ by bearing brand, ARP rod bolts and those extras, which explains most of the spread.
