NHTSA 10162423: Brakes software update

Brakes software update on BMW F25 models (2011–2013); BMW released a software update.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10162423 · Jul 2019

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Service Action: Programming Update for Condition Based Service (CBS) Data. Due to a software error, the remaining distance to a brake service may be incorrectly displayed in the instrument cluster and/or control display.
