What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Transmission Intermittently Goes into Park During an MSA Engine Start. The transmission can intermittently go into the Park position (P) when an MSA engine start is occurring. A drive gear can be selected in order to drive away, and no relevant faults are stored.
