What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Fails when Starting: Fault Code 4823E1. The EPS fails briefly when starting the engine. FC 4823E1 is stored in the EPS_20 control unit. CAUSE Specific undervoltage situation during engine starting.
