SIB 51 12 24: Door ticking noise
Door ticking noise on BMW G07 models (2023–2026); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 11032737 · May 2026 · also written SI B51 12 24, B511224
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
There are two possible situations (rear left, right or both sides): A. The electric sunshade in the rear door does not function or sticks upon operation, and/or B. The electric sunshade is wavy.
