SIB 52 06 25: Seat cracking
Seat cracking on BMW G07 models (2024); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 11018726 · May 2025 · also written SI B52 06 25, B520625
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
While attempting to unbolt the third-row seat to perform, or to gain access to perform another required repair, one or more of the bolts may not easily loosen. Applying addition force to loosen the bolts may cause the seat anchor body-nuts to break free from their welds.
