SIB 61 18 22: Tailgate service information
Tailgate service information on BMW I20 models (2022); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10227559 · Oct 2022 · also written SI B61 18 22, B611822
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
The tailgate lowers slightly from the open position when pushed upwards.
