Battery warning message on BMW G01/G11/G12/G30 and other models (2016–2018); the fix is replacing the affected part.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10135039 · Feb 2018 · also written SI B61 27 17, B612717

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

REPLACE BATTERY CHECK CONTROL MESSAGE: In-stock, new vehicle instrument cluster displays the red CCM "Replace Battery" (ID # 460).
