SIB 61 29 22: Steering service information
Steering service information on BMW G05/G06/G07/G11 and other models (2016–2023); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.
BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10230732 · Dec 2022 · also written SI B61 29 22, B612922
What it covers
A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.
The saved steering column positions, vertical and horizontal, are not stored long term.
