SIB 64 05 20: EVAP system leak

EVAP system leak on BMW F39/F44/F48 models (2016–2021); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10182921 · Oct 2020 · also written SI B64 05 20, B640520

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

This cover can then leak condensation out through the existing gap.
