SIB 33 01 24: Axle noise

Axle noise on Electric engines (2024–2025); BMW explains the cause and the approved repair.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 11034454 · Jun 2026 · also written SI B33 01 24, B330124

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

The vehicle will no longer move when put into gear. There may also be loud noise coming from the HEAT*(electric drivetrain)/Rear axles.
