SIB 36 02 14: Instrument cluster warning message

Instrument cluster warning message on BMW F15 models (2014–2015); BMW released a software update.

BMW service bulletin · NHTSA ID 10148319 · May 2014 · also written SI B36 02 14, B360214

What it covers

A service bulletin tells BMW technicians how to diagnose or fix a known issue. It is not a recall: a repair under a bulletin is normally paid by the owner unless the car is still under warranty or a warranty extension applies.

Erroneous Check Control Message: Tire Pressure Check Failed. After pressing the Start/Stop button, the Check Control message "Tire pressure check failed" appears briefly, as well as the corresponding light on the instrument cluster. These displays disappear after a few seconds.
