- Recall 25V644: engine starter 740LI, 840I, X5, X6, X7, 2019–2025. After repeated attempts, the starter motor may overheat from an electrical overload.
- Recall 24V576: engine starter software 740I, 840I, M340I, M340XI, X5, X6, X7, 2019–2021. BMW of North America, LLC is recalling certain 2019-2020 X5, X7, 2020 3 Series Sedan, X6, 2020-2021 7 Series Sedan, 2020 8 Series Convertible, 8 Series Coupe, and 2020 8 Series Gran Coupe vehicles.
- Recall 23V821: integrated transmission control unit 4 SERIES, 8 SERIES, X3, X4, X5, X6, Z4, 2023. The weld seam of the integrated transmission control unit's cover may not have been manufactured properly, which could allow automatic transmission oil to leak into the transmission control unit.

- Recall 21V096: rearview camera software 330E, 330I, 430I, 530E, 530I, 540I, 740I, 745LE, 750LI, 840I, M340I, M440I, M550I, M760I, M8, M850I, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, 2019–2021. When shifting into Reverse, a small portion of the rearview image may be obscured, or the screen may not illuminate.
- Recall 21V062: integrated brake system 740LI, 745LE, 750LI, 840I, M3, M4, M760LI, M8, M850I, X5, X6, X7, 2019–2021. The rotor and shaft within the integrated brake system may not have been welded properly and could separate during a hard braking event, possibly resulting in a loss of the Antilock Brake System (ABS) and braking assistance.
- Recall 20V761: n/a – vehicle assembly issue 530I, 540I, 740LI, 840I, M340I, M440I, X5, X6, X7, 2021. The connection between the 48-Volt battery and the starter-generator may not have been assembled properly, which can cause increased electrical resistance at the connections.
- Recall 20V164: pretensioner 330I, 840I, M340I, M8, M850I, X3, X4, 2020. The sensors in the front seat belt buckles may inaccurately detect a belted occupant as unbelted, possibly causing the air bag and seat belt pretensioners to deploy improperly in the event of a crash.
- Recall 19V684: camera 330I, 530E, 530I, 540D, 540I, 640I, 740LE, 740LI, 745LE, 750LI, 840I, M340I, M5, M550I, M850I, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, Z4, 2018–2020. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse.
- Recall 19V513: engine 750I, M5, M850I, X5, X7, 2019–2020. The high pressure fuel pump may not have been properly attached to the engine, which may cause the fuel pump flange to crack, resulting in a fuel leak.
